Leaked in late May 2009 just before E3 where it is expected to be announced, the PSP Go is the next generation handheld gaming unit from Sony. Featuring a 3.8" screen, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth support for pairing with headsets and cellphones, and a Memory Stick Micro slot for expansion, the device will feature the same number of buttons as the original PSP - contained in a slide out keypad. The main selling point of the unit will be the fact that it will be higly integrated with existing Sony consoles and media outlets, allowing for users to enjoy high quality games, video and audio on the go, with a much more mobile device - smaller and 43% lighter than the current PSP. Nevertheless, the device is not planned to replace the original PSP device, which will continue to be sold. A price or release date have not yet been released. More information will be added to this report as it becomes available.

I've been a portable console collector since I remember. Getting all Nintendo portables I decided to go in the same way with Sony. I have all three models of PSP: Fat one, 2000 and Go. (Didn't buy 3000 because is basically the same as 2000 but with "better" screen). Anyway, I decided to buy the PSP Go because I thought portability would be great and since lots of games could be downloaded both PS1 and PSP from psn site it looked like a great option. For my surprise I found some good points I had no considered when buying and some others that were not as expected. In the good side I found that this PSP has a great battery life, maybe a little better than previous iterations in normal use, but definitively does an amazing job when turned off and not being used after many weeks. I can put it on the shelf for 2 weeks or more and when I try to play the battery is practically just as the las time I used, this didn't happen with previous versions of PSP. Aditionally I found that this PSP works with both: old tv's and new high definition tv's which grant you the option to play a video or play a game in a bigger screen. Since we have bluethooth in here, this psp version allow you to connect one of your PS3 controllers to play; whats the point of that if it's supposed to be a portable console??? well, the thing is that you can connect it to your tv, connect your ps3 control and play like if you had a PS1 console in that tiny psp go!!!. Maybe not so important but has been useful for me to backup all the data I usually download in my PS3, I found that moving data (music, and games) from my PS3 to my PSP GO is reaaaaaally fast. In the downside I could found that there is no way to play games that require analog stick, its really complex because your hand gets tired very very fast, playing fighting games or maybe some sport games is akward. I've been using my Go to play mosthly RPG's (Final Fantasy iterations for PS1), Minis and listening music. Well then, PSP GO is a really good product but I think that to get the most of it, you need lots of money (PS3 controller, Additional Cable to connect it to TV, Buy games in internet thus have a good internet conection) vs having a psp 3000 and buyin UMD games starting to play right away. I would recommend it but maybe for someone that is really on the go all the time and likes to play Strategy, Minis or RPG games mosthly or listening to music.

My husband and I had both PSP systems in our hands and decided to go with this one because of the 3 free games promo. We are still waiting on the game codes to be emailed after 16 days. There is fine print inside of the outside packaging that wraps around the box that says it should take up to 7 days. I called Sony and was told that the wait is actually up to 21 BUSINESS days. It will not connect to WPA2 wireless internet. The saving grace here is that my apartment has its own wifi connection so we connect through that. It takes forever to set up the PSP Go if you are not familiar with navigating the PSP virtual keyboard which I found was oddly set up. Once you get that down though, it is faster. Out of the box, I had to also upgrade the system's software. Do not even attempt to set up the system unless you have lots of battery. If you don't you will have to "wait until battery is charged enough to perform update" according to the system message. It does look cool. I like that there is no need to carry around UMDs but the memory is only big enough for about 3-5 full games maybe more depending on the size of the game. Then after that, you will need a memory stick (something else to buy). Speaking of games, you will need to wait an eternity (depending on how many people are on the Playstation servers, I presume) to download a game. One game said that it would take 4 hours to download when I tried to download at 11pm on Sunday. I woke up the next morning and it only projected little under an hour. It did take every bit of that time too. If I had to do it all over again, I would just get the PSP 3000. We are contemplating on whether to cut our losses and return it tomorrow. The only thing holding us back is that, while waiting for the free game codes, we spent $20 on games that we may not be able to transfer to the 3000 model. We will see.

This product is good for someone that has not played a sony devices. The design is a good and looks good for someone that like design it fast and you should buy a case for it becuase it can break and or cuase damage to the devices. The prices is a little high in my thought becuase everthing works on wifi and sometimes it hard to find the durability is not good and if it falls two and or three falls it will damage the product and the movies is great if your looking for a devices to watch tv shows,or movies and games it is 20 or more for a good games it fun it play with is great full HD it is great but my thoughts of this products is a fair devices comparing sony products it great if you have a ps3 i wouldn't recomended becuase it like a little ps3.
