This Microsoft Xbox 360 (often referred to as the 'slim' version), launched on June of 2010 in North America, is an upgraded version of the original 360 with a smaller form factor. It sports an upgraded 45nm chipset, integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports, and 250GB of removable storage by way of proprietary hard drive (not compatible with original 360 drives). Additionally, this 360 features a custom Kinect port on the back and an internal power supply.
The 'slim' 360's more efficient 45nm chipset allows for cooler operating temperatures and a much quieter operating volume than the classic 360 by way of one large fan rather than two. Its integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi card ensures that no external WiFi adapter will be needed while its custom Kinect port allows for an easy installation of the Kinect motion-sensing peripheral. Also, the 'slim' 360's slimmer form factor allows for easier storage, especially due to its internal power supply.

My original Xbox red ringed again, and I was out of warranty. I decided to pick up this system to upgrade my hard drive and to get the Kinect system as an added bonus. This system preforms well and is much quieter than my original Xbox. I also like the new sleek, black look, and it takes up a little less room on my entertainment unit. A word of warning, unlike the original Xbox where you had to hold the power button to power down the console, this one you have to simply push the power button to power down the console. For houses with young and curious children, this can be problematic as one push of the button from your child can power down your console. This may be an important factor to consider in your Xbox placement.
I really like the new 360, smaller, wireless and a larger memory. I liked the voice activation feature and had no problems with the system like the red ring of dealth I had on the old 360.

Great value-we got the bundle for $400. Gets you up and off the couch with a good selection of games to choose from. Ours came with the Adventures game which has a lot of fun and entertaining mini games-easy to play for hours. The video chat feature works great and love how the Kinect follows the subject. Great product and great value when you get them bundled together!
