The Apple iPod nano 5G is an advanced iPod announced by Apple in September of 2009. It maintains the same basic outward appearance as its fourth-generation predecessor — sleek body, aluminum casing, and white clickwheel — but there are a tad few changes. The most dramatic improvements include a larger 2.2” LCD screen in the front AND a VGA camcorder in the back. Essentially, Apple is trying to combat the notorious Flip Video (and other mini video recorder products) and will in fact even be pricing the Nano (8GB) at $149.99, which is the same price for an entry-level Flip camcorder. Other notable features include FM radio, a pedometer, and even a microphone with a voice recorder. Included also a plethora of spiffy video effects/filters: heat vision, tunnel vision, security cam vision, B&W, sepia, light tunnel, cyborg.

Unfortunately, I had to return my Nano. I exchanged it, and then had to return the second one as well. The headphones didn't really fit well in the Nano, and the sound would cut off when the headphones were moved a certain way. The same thing happened with the second nano....only this time the songs would also slow down after a few minutes of playing. Very weird. The battery was fully charged, so that wasn't the problem. I like the features of the Nano, and I loved the lightweight, portability of it and being able to wear it on a belt clip. However, I seemed to have gotten two bad ones in a row, and that was enough to make me not try again. The service at Best Buy was great, though. No complaints there.

I like the fact that the screen is a lot bigger. It's very slim and looks awesome!! I especially love the pink color. The pink gummy earphones are the right size for my ears.
This iPod is easy to use and got it at a great price. Have seen them at a higher price at other stores and that was for the 8gb.
