The Apple iPod nano 5G is an advanced iPod announced by Apple in September of 2009. It maintains the same basic outward appearance as its fourth-generation predecessor — sleek body, aluminum casing, and white clickwheel — but there are a tad few changes. The most dramatic improvements include a larger 2.2” LCD screen in the front AND a VGA camcorder in the back. Essentially, Apple is trying to combat the notorious Flip Video (and other mini video recorder products) and will in fact even be pricing the Nano (8GB) at $149.99, which is the same price for an entry-level Flip camcorder. Other notable features include FM radio, a pedometer, and even a microphone with a voice recorder. Included also a plethora of spiffy video effects/filters: heat vision, tunnel vision, security cam vision, B&W, sepia, light tunnel, cyborg.

I purchased an 16GB nano iPod in july of 2010 new. I would deffinately suggest purchasing the extended warrenty. I had the iPod for not even 3 months before it stopped playing with my USB through my deck. Everything worked except for the fact the audio didn't play through my car anymore. So if it costs almost 200 dollars one would think it would be more durable. I only use it in my car so it isn't like I put it through a lot of ware and tear. Plus, it doesn't even hold 1500 songs on my iPod, but I guess it depends on the length of songs you listen to too. I'm fine with everything else about it other than the fact I had it for such a short period of time and something went wrong.
Glad I was able to get the 5th generation before they were gone. Apple has seemed to have taken a step back in features with the 6th gen.
Easy to set up and use and works great. I have nothing at all bad to say about it.
