We recently brought you videos of some of the world's most fantastic roller coasters, but none of them can compare to what Argentinian film maker Fernando Livschitz has dreamt up for Inception Park. His astounding video, making the rounds today, features roller coasters and other rides transplanted into downtown Buenos Aires through the magic of computer-generated special effects.
Posing a "what if?" scenario, the short contains footage of theme park rides operating without the need for tracks or other worldly pinnings, as they twirl, spin, and loop around real buildings. It's one of the better uses of digital compositing we've seen, especially considering this is a web video by one person. It truly looks like these attractions exist, that people are riding them, and that they're somehow defying gravity.
Livschitz is no stranger to creating amazing video imagery, having produced several web videos featuring surreal effects that can be viewed on his site.
