Crystal-studded NFL helmets may be the most extravagent way of dropping $1,800
Some people love collecting Swarovski crystal knicknacks. Some people love NFL collectibles. But finding a way to combine the two loves has been difficult — until now.

It's probably the most questionable and head-scratching way to spend $1,800: A Swarovski crystal-studded regulation NFL helmet. The full-size helmet would no doubt look terribly out of place in a collection of Swarovski crystal collectibles, and probably just as out of place in the trophy case of an NFL superfan. But someone will no doubt wind up buying one anyway.

Designed by artist Quinn Gregory, each helmet is covered with over 12,500 individual crystals. Three sample helmets have been made — one for the Cincinnati Bengals, one for the Dallas Cowboys, and one for the Kansas City Chiefs — but you can custom order a helmet for any team, NFL or NCAA. Manufacturing and delivery takes about 3 weeks.
