As with any prevalent failure of a popular global brand like Apple, consumer rage follows. And Twitter, of course, is a very convenient way to vent. User @dottyteakettle comments on the slowness of the iOS 5 upgrade process by tweeting, "The whole world is downloading #iOS5 and remembering what it was like to be on dial up." User @JosephStash even goes as far as to tell everyone off from getting the new OS, "Can everyone else sod off downloading #iOS5 please? Because obviously I have to play angry birds. Download time has doubled since I started."Thankfully, Apple isn't failing alone right this moment. User @DavePaylor tweets, "BlackBerry is down and downloading iOS 5 results in 'ERROR 3200'. I can see the headlines already: 'APPLE AND BLACKBERRY CRUMBLE'." User @Leeizdi believes nothing could be worse than Apple's upgrading errors and BlackBerry's outage than humanity's demise. She tweets, "2012. The end of the world. #lol RT @ReeVDK: BBM is down, iPhone updaters gettin ERROR 3200, Whats next? Electricity shut-down?"
User @paigeonlines falls into depression: "When you get ERROR 3200 and realize you're life is an endless pit of disappointment." While user @DanRebellato is an obvious pessimist: "Ooh. I'm downloading iOS 5. Exciting. *basically expects phone never to work again*" Still, some don’t believe in giving up like @RealJiveTurkey who tweets, "I'm up to my tenth time getting the "Internal Error 3200" message trying to update my iPhone to #iOS5." User @YAZANai, however, is a perfect example of how misery loves company, "After a frustrating hour of failed restarts, I discover I'm not alone in this world. ERROR 3200 is trending! I am now officially a Tweliever."In the end, all of these just amplify the truth of what @mhaithaca tweeted, "Apple ships, the Internet shudders. (HT @alexpriest)" The internet shudders indeed.
