After months and months of delays, rumored cancellations, and teases, Apple's iPhone 4 will finally be available in white starting tomorrow. The fair device was originally shown off during the iPhone 4 reveal, and it was assumed it would be a color option from day 1. However, launch day came and went, as did every rumored release date since, with no new color option in sight.
Apple has never offered an official explanation as to why it's taken so long to make the plain color scheme a reality, but we've heard rumors such as paint peeling and antenna issues since the delays began. Whatever the reason, the phone will be available tomorrow, April 28, for the same price as the darker model, and can be picked up at Apple retail stores, as well as AT&T and Verizon locations.
While it might not be the rumored iPhone 5, or even an iteration of the phone's internal specs, the whitewashed smartphone will almost certainly prompt at least a small bump in iPhone adoption. A new color scheme for most devices might not be a huge deal, but making an iconic Apple device available in the iconic Apple color certainly will is.
