Netflix to start streaming Mad Men this summer
Movie rental and streaming media giant Netflix has struck a deal with Lions Gate Entertainment for the rights to stream its hit series Mad Men. The show follows the exploits and struggles of a high-profile advertising agency in the 1960s, and has consistently garnered critical acclaim and award recognition. The hour-long drama took home the Golden Globe for Best Drama Series in 2008, 2009, and 2010 and scooped up the Emmys for Outstanding Drama for the same three years

The agreement, which is reportedly worth between $75 and $100 million, will allow Netflix to stream seasons 1 through 4 starting this summer, with additional seasons added as they complete their network runs on AMC.

This move is just another bullet point in the ever-growing list of Netflix acquisitions and agreements. Just last month, the red envelope company bought its first original content by outbidding both HBO and AMC for the upcoming series House of Cards
