Find the beer you crave with Tap Hunter
Hello, beer-loving internet users! This post is especially for you. It's winter, and for those of you who don't live in the 75-and-sunny bubble of San Diego that I do, that means inclement weather. Possibly even snow. Leaving the house can become quite the tedious task, and when you get somewhere, I assume you'll want to stay put. Better hope the delicious craft beer you're craving is available.

Tap hunting made easy
Tap Hunter has taken the need for wishful thinking out of your beer-seeking endeavors by keeping tabs on where to find craft beer on tap. Search by the name of a beer to learn where it's available, or search by location to see what's being served. Yep, it's that easy to find what you're looking for.

Tap Hunter is full of information to help you in your quest for the perfect pint, including maps, brewery information, and the alcohol content of each beer. Beers are indexed alphabetically, by location, and by brewery.

As a service centered on craft beer, Tap Hunter currently tracks the major craft-brewing cities of Denver, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, and Vancouver. To qualify for a listing on the site, at least half of the taps at an establishment must be dedicated to serving craft beer.

Tap into additional perks
More than just a tap-finding service, Tap Hunter also offers weekly deals from local businesses in its Straight From the Tap section. Offered once a week, and available for only 24 hours, Straight From the Tap deals vary from food and drink discounts to tours and events.

Tap Hunter boasts deals of up to 80% off. It works like Groupon, but it's beer-centric.

Take Tap Hunter on the go with the free iPhone app. Other smartphone owners shouldn't feel left out, though; the website is designed to be accessible on smartphone web browsers. All right, Blackberry, my fearless leader… Take me to that AleSmith Lil Devil.
